They had the exact car I wanted (which had up until now been hard to find in the Chicagoland area). Eddie (my salesman) was friendly, courteous, professional & made me feel like he had my best interests at heart. (I believe he actually did, too). The finance guy (sorry forgot his name!) was also very personable & did not try to force me into buying extra warranties etc. since I traded & paid cash for the difference there really wasn't any actual "financing" to do. He just presented me with all of the add-ons with no pressure to buy & ask if any of them were something I would be interested in. It was a great, low-pressure experience overall.

Mike was great.  He is very easy to talk to & very honest about the whole process.  I really appreciate that in a car buying experience.  We actually visited 2 other dealers before stopping in at Gartner and the reason we went with your dealership was because of Mike and the way that he treated us from the minute we walked in the door.  He treated us as if he were selling his family member a car.  We are actually looking at another vehicle to buy from Mike in the next couple of months and that is a direct reflection on his personality & honesty.

Happy Hyundai Sonata Buyer reviews Gartner Hyundai in Aurora/Naperville IL

Buying a car now a days is a huge deal and alot of dealers are high presure and bug that crap out of you. We bought my Fiances new car the 2011 Sonota w/ Boris, he was knowledgable of the cars and easy going throughout the process. He made car buying less stressful as well as Gartner in Downers Grove had a nice selection of vehicles. Many with the same specs and models and milage where it just came down to the buyers choice on which one.

Although the whole sales pitch for all the extras to tack on to your bill, seemed out of date and not as well explained, being that you watch that little video from the manufactuer.

All and all it was a good experience at this dealer with our Sales person Boris, he very friendly and laid back, even let me take a spin in a new geneius Coupe while we were waiting for paper work process.


Thanks again and we are enjoying our new purchase everyday. With the 10 yr 100,000 miles warranty we made a great choice.

No High Pressure Sales Tactics - Just a Great Car Buying Experience

The short version:
Honest, no pressure, friendly salesman who excels at his job and is a great communicator (Jordan) and a super-nice finance guy (Bill) make buying a car a great experience!


The long version:
I knew the car I was looking for (Sonata SE Turbo), and traded e-mails regarding an online quote request with Jordan Kabranov. As said in another review, Jordan provided a straight-forward price without the usual back-and-forth. When I asked to set up a time to come in and test-drive one and have my old car appraised at the same time, he was quick to agree to my suggested time. When my husband and I arrived for the first time, we were quickly greeted by Jordan, who sent us on a test-drive while my car was appraised. When we returned, Jordan quoted a fair trade-in price on the car, and was quick to help me locate a Sonata in the color I wanted at another lot. He didn’t try any high-pressure tactics or make me feel uncomfortable at any time (which I had felt after visiting some other dealers in the area while looking for the car I wanted). He provided a true no-pressure and no-hassle experience. Communication was also spectacular – Jordan was very responsive to my e-mails, and also called me with updates when my car was delivered and prepped. As soon as my husband and I arrived to finalize the sale the next day, Jordan took us to see the car, and then got Bill, the finance guy, to take care of the paperwork. Bill was also outstanding, not pressuring us with any of the add-ons or extras and was very laid-back in the whole dealing while still being very professional, which helped me feel relaxed and not stressed in any way. Finally, Jordan walked us out to the car and helped with several of the setup options, thoroughly explaining the ins-and-outs of my car. I never thought buying a car would be enjoyable, but the people at Gartner Hyundai made it a great experience. Best of all, I drove away in the exact car I wanted that fits my needs perfectly!

I knew exactly what I wanted to buy, so thanks to the wonders of the internet I was able to search for and find the exact vehicle at Gartner Hyundai.
I was lucky enough to work with Mike Wiley after making an internet-based offer on a 2012 Hyundai Accent that hadn't even been delivered to the dealership yet.

Not only did Gartner accept my bid, but Mike went out of his way to keep me informed of the car's delivery status and answered every question I had regarding the car itself and the itemized price breakdown. Mike always responded to my emails in under an hour (that's better than I see at work!).

When the car was delivered, Mike had it detailed and ready for us to test drive and took the time to show my son how everything works...Mike even helped him pair his Bluetooth device.

I've honestly never had such a POSITIVE experience purchasing a vehicle.

Erik is a very helpful associate. I came into the Aruora location looking for a small Suv with one vehicle in mind. Erik was not only able to answer all of my questions in a way that I understood them, but he was also willing to take the time to explain various details to me. Seeing as I am not really that knowledgeable in cars he was able to explain everything so I no longer had any more questions. I have not done a lot of car shopping before and being a woman I knew that I was going to be treated differently and I was expecting to be talked down to. But none of that happened at this location. Not only did Erik treat me with respect & not talk down to me but the entire staff was helpful and respectful. This is a dealership I enjoyed purchasing my vehicle from, and will definitely recommend to friends and family.
