Pricing and Availibility Information on the All New 2012 Hyundai Azera
If the lines at the 2012 Chicago Auto Show are any indication as to the future demand on the 2012 Hyundai Azera, we can tell you, this will be one hard to find car. Some of the staff here at Gartner Hyundai visited the Auto Show this past week. Hyundai's display was phenomenal; crowds of people around every car, especially the Azera.
The 2012 Hyundai Azera was originally scheduled to hit Gartner Hyundai's inventory in February/March. However, Hyundai wants to be sure this car is 110% ready, and is doing a few last minute inspections and tests to insure the quality will exceed customer expectations. Therefore, the all new Azera should be rolling off the trucks sometime in April.
Pricing, though, for the completely redesigned 2012 Hyundai Azera has just been released to Gartner Hyundai. Unlike previous years, the new Azera will be offered in just one model as opposed to the GLS and Limited models in the past.
The new, extraordinarily well-equipped Azera will start off at an MSRP of $32,000 (before destination)
Gasoline Direct Injection (GDI) engine technology
Best-In-Class combined fuel economy of 23 mpg
293 Horsepower
Blue Link Telematics system
Proximity key with push-button start
Navigation System
Leather Seating with heated front seats and heated rear seats
18-inch alloy wheels
SACHS Amplitude Selective Dampers (ASD) for improved ride comfort without compromising handling
The second-generation Azera is a bold interpretation of Hyundai's Fluidic Sculpture design (as seen on the Sonata, Elantra, Accent and Tucson). It's sleek, sophisticated style creates the illusion of constant motion. The Azera represents a modern approach to the traditional, large sedan segment by offering an advanced powertrain, bold design, premium features and class-leading safety features.
The 2012 Hyundai Azera has a more modern, youthful look about it than its predecessors, without sacrificing the luxury and/or eloquence that a premium sedan should portray. The Azera is ready to defy traditional large sedan sales leaders such as the Nissan Maxima, Buick LaCrosse, Toyota Avalon, Honda Accord and Ford Taurus. Azera's standard premium features also raise the bar for the large sedan segment - navigation with rearview back-up camera, heated front and rear seats and LED headlight accents. The 2012 Azera offers first-class seating and comfort for ALL passengers with standard leather interior, power front driver and passenger seats, optional rear side window, rear sunshade and ventilated front seats.
Once again, to keep things simple and easy for customers, the 2012 Azera is offered in one model, with two packages to choose from; the standard package and the Technology Package. Below you will find a list of just some of the features for both....

Two New Hyundai Elantra Models at the Chicago Auto Show
Gartner Hyundai, a New and Used Hyundai Dealer serving the Chicago Il area for over 32 years, is pleased to share information on the two newest models to the Hyundai lineup; the Elantra Coupe and Elantra GT Hatchback.
Hyundai introduced two new body styles for its brisk-selling Elantra in Chicago on Wednesday, Feb 8, 2012: the 2013 Elantra GT four-door hatchback and Elantra Coupe. The offerings will join the elantra sedan in the cutthroat compact segment, a class that includes the Ford Focus, Honda Civic, Chevrolet Cruze, Volkswagen Golf, Mazda 3 and Subaru Impreza, among others.
With Elantra sales exceeding expectations, the automaker has had dificulty meeting demand. As such, the Elantra variants will be assemble in South Korea, unlike the sedan, which is built for the North American market at Hyundai's plant in Montgomery, Alabama.
The Elantra Coupe should be arriving at dealerships, including Gartner Hyundai this spring, with the hatch joining it this summer.
Though the Elantra Coupe shown in Chicago was a new design, the GT was essentially the i30 hatchback shown at the Frankfurt auto show last September. The sedan was introduced at the 2010 Los Angeles auto show and named North American Car of the Year at the Detroit auto show last month.
Shoppers may find that the automaker's so-called fluidic sculpture design language translates particularly well to a coupe. The front fascia sweeps back into a pronounced fender well, which melds with a character line sweeping up toward the rear deck and lip spoiler. A smooth arc is formed by the windshield and roof.
The GT, which replaces the discontinued Elantra Touring wagon, receives a less aggressive fascia treatment, in addition to a beltline dip that allows for larger front side windows and a roofline that dips only barely as it approaches the rear hatch.
With all seats raised, the GT accommodates five, but with the split rear seats folded, the hatchback offers crossover-rivaling cargo space, Hyundai says.
Both coupe and hatchbach share the sedan's powertrain, a 1.8-liter 4-cylinder engine that develops 148 horsepower, and the choice of a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission. Final fuel economy numbers are not yet available from the Environmental Protection Agency, but Hyundai estimates 28 miles per gallon in city and 39 m.p.g. in highway driving for the hatch and the automatic-equipped coupe. Equipped with the manual transmission, the coupe is expected to achieve 29 m.p.g. city, 40 m.p.g. highway.
All Elantra models are suspended on McPherson struts up front and a torsion beam at the rear. The coupe's suspension calibration has been tuned for sportier driving. Its interior also nods to the car's more sporting pretensions, with deeper side bolsters than those in the sedan hatchback, to keep driver and passenger snug.
The GT, at 2,784 pounds, is 175 pounds lighter than the Ford Focus, 151 pounds lighter than the Mazda 3 and 222 pounds lighter than the Volkswagen Golf, Hyundai says. It is also the shortes of the Elantra trio, at 169.3 inches, while the coupe is roughly a half-inch longer than the sedan at 178.7 inches. The coupe and sedan share a 106.3-inch wheelbase, but the hatchback rides on a 104.3-inch wheelbase.
Prices will be announced closer to the cars' on-sale dates. Gartner Hyunda, a premier Chicago Area Hyundai Dealer, will keep you posted on the availbility, pricing and incentives on both the Elantra Coupe and Elantra GT hatchback.

2012 Hyundai Veloster is Bloomberg's "Best Economy Car" - available now at Gartner Hyundai
|
HYUNDAI VELOSTER NAMED “BEST ECONOMY CAR” BY BLOOMBERG
COSTA MESA, Calif., December 12, 2011– The all-new 2012 Hyundai Veloster earned the title of “Best Economy Car” in Bloomberg’s recent “Best Drives of 2011.” The Veloster is an innovative compact coupe that features ground-breaking design, with a unique third door for easy rear-seat access, Hyundai’s Blue Link® telematics system, Pandora® internet radio with seven-inch touch-screen display and a new 1.6-liter direct-injected four-cylinder engine that can be mated to either Hyundai’s first EcoShift™ dual-clutch transmission or a six-speed manual transmission. The Veloster is also one of four Hyundai vehicles that achieve 40 mpg on the highway, along with the Accent, Elantra and Sonata Hybrid. In the third annual roundup of the year’s best vehicles compiled by Bloomberg, Veloster drew praise from the editors for “amenities like touch-screen navigation, automatic everything, Bluetooth and a rear-view camera.” “Hyundai has four models which hit the 40 mpg mark, only one a hybrid. That’s progress for the people,” said Jason Harper, Bloomberg’s auto critic. “Most of us want a nice-driving, good-looking automobile that won’t sledgehammer us into debt. Hyundai has gotten in the habit of over-delivering very good cars at underwhelming prices. The Veloster is the most out-and-out fun.” Joining the Veloster as “Best Drives of 2011” are the Range Rover Evoque, the Lamborghini Aventador, the BMW 1 Series M Coupe and the Overall 2011 Winner, the Audi A7. As expected for the winner of the “Best Economy Car” segment, the Veloster combines its dynamic design, wealth of technology and outstanding fuel efficiency with great value -- The Veloster starts at $17,300 (plus freight). “We recognize that Bloomberg’s reporters and readers are among the most financially savvy and astute car buyers in the world,” said Scott Margason, director, Product Planning, Hyundai Motor America. “With this in mind, it’s a tremendous honor that the publication appreciates all of the Veloster’s outstanding qualities in the compact coupe segment, from the telematics’ benefits of Blue Link™ to a fun, yet fuel-efficient 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine that yields outstanding fuel economy, combined with an affordable sticker price.” |

2012 Hyundai Tucson - Best Resale Value by KBB
The stylish and fuel-efficient 2012 Hyundai Tucson secured a spot on Kelley Blue Book's Best Resale Value Award Top 10 list.

ABOUT THE RESALE VALUE AWARD
When shoppers talk about how they go about choosing a new car, they often say they seek a vehicle with high resale value. While they might not know exactly how to gauge that, their thinking is spot-on. If you want to keep your overall year-in-year-out transportation costs low, you will find that a vehicle that retains its value well will be your best friend. Why? Because over the first five years of new-car ownership depreciation is a car owner’s biggest expense. Depreciation — in basic terms, the amount a vehicle declines in value over time — can cost you thousands of dollars during the years you own your car. Because of that, choosing a vehicle that retains its value better than others — in other words, a vehicle with better resale value — will leave you money ahead at trade-in time.
So how do you find the cars, trucks, sport utilities and vans that have the best resale value? The simple answer is here at Kelley Blue Book’s kbb.com. We at Kelley Blue Book have been publishing our Official Residual Value Guide since 1981, so we are industry-acknowledged experts in the art and science of resale value projections. Financial institutions, governmental agencies and the automotive leasing industry rely on the comprehensive residual values we provide. To help guide consumers on this important but little-understood facet of the automotive purchase process, Kelley Blue Book established its annual Best Resale Value Awards in 2003.
The Kelley Blue Book Best Resale Value Awards recognize automakers’ outstanding achievements in producing vehicles that best retain their value over the first five years of new-vehicle ownership. Awards are presented to top vehicles in 19 vehicle categories and to the Overall Top 10 vehicles across all categories. In addition, the luxury and non-luxury brands that demonstrate the best across-the-board value retention receive coveted Best Brand and Best Luxury Brand awards. Kelley Blue Book resale value projections are based on current vehicle data, sales data, market conditions for each vehicle, competition within vehicle segments, expectations of the future economy and the combined experience of Kelley Blue Book’s team of market and pricing analysts. It’s not something you want to try at home. “The Best Resale Value Awards combine the expertise of Kelley Blue Book’s market analysis with our proud history of trusted accuracy in reporting vehicle values,” said Paul Johnson, president and publisher of Kelley Blue Book. “We hope that this information assists new-vehicle shoppers in making more informed financial decisions.”

2013 Hyundai Elantra Touring Revealed

Gartner Hyundai, an established Chicago, IL Area Hyundai Dealer, is pleased to share an article about the newly redesigned 2013 Hyundai Elantra Touring from USA Today.
"A redesigned Hyundai Elantra Touring wagon - actually an Elantra cousin and known to most of the world outside the North America as the Hyundai i30 - will be brought to the U.S. next year, the ARP news agency reports. Hyundai U.S. officials had told Drive On that the new version would come to the U.S eventually. While the hatch - that's the new one in the photo above - has never been sold in North America, the wagon, rebadges as the Elantra Touring, has had critical success and modest sales for high value and features in a compact wagon. The new one adopts Hyundai's current swoopy styling language (fluidic sculpture) anad an upgraded interior. In the U.S. it is likely to share the Elantra's powertrain which is worth 40 mpg highway in the compact sedan. AFP says Hyundai expects the redone i30 to up the competition against such vehicles as the arch-rival Volkswagen Golf in Europe and that it hopes to sell 215,000 of the new model next year - 190,000 of them outside South Korea. Gartner Hyundai in Aurora, IL is patiently awaiting the new arrival from Hyundai. Just like the newly designed Accent, Elantra Sedan, Sonata, Tucson and the brand new Veloster, Gartner is sure the new Elantra Touring will be a hit among consumers.
The redone i30 - which is sold in hatchback and wagon models and is a hot seller in Europe - was first shown last month at the Frankfurt auto show. And today, the South Korean automaker gave it an official rollout event, complet with models, in Seoul.

Another Positive Review About The 2012 Hyundai Accent - Available Now At Gartner Hyundai
2012 Hyundai Accent exudes confidence
BY AL VINIKOUR For Sun-Times Media September 19, 2011
What do you call a vehicle that competes in a segment with the likes of the Toyota Yaris, Honda Fit, Nissan Versa, Ford Fiesta, Mazda2 and Chevrolet Sonic? The word “confident” ought to come to mind.
The real answer is the 2012 Hyundai Accent.
As it did with the earlier release of its new Sonata and Elantra, the new Accent takes on a familial appearance with what Hyundai refers to as a “fluidic sculpture” design.
Driving the 2012 Accent reinforces my impression of the quality and ride that Korean vehicles have strived so hard to achieve. It loves the road and is loath to loosen its grip on it while cornering or taking curves at higher speeds. Hyundai executives specifically mention the quiet aspect of the passenger cabin and they aren’t exaggerating.
For being a subcompact, Accent has enough front-seat legroom to comfortably seat basketball players Shaquille O’Neal and Dirk Nowitzki. Though classified as a subcompact on the outside, it’s labeled a compact on the inside. It’s 3.5 inches longer and its wheelbase is 2.8 inches longer than its predecessor.
I liked the layout of the instrument panel and center stack. A combination of blue is used to illuminate the dials. A handsome use of brushed aluminum highlights the front-door armrests and it tends to better outline the power window and door lock buttons – same with the center of the three-point steering wheel, floor-mounted shifter and climate controls.
The 2012 Accent is powered by Hyundai’s new 1.6-liter DOHC 16-valve dual continuously variable valve timing Gamma GDI engine. It’s more powerful and 40 pounds lighter than the outgoing Alpha engine. It pumps out 138 horsepower and 123 pound-feet of torque. It’s mated to either a six-speed manual transmission or a six-speed automatic with Shiftronic manual shift mode.
Truth be told, I am no fan of manual-shift-mode automatics. As I’ve often said, if you want to shift gears so darned bad order your vehicle with a manual transmission and the manufacturer will give you a free clutch. I haven’t driven the manual — just the automatic in drive mode.
The 2012 Accent is a member of the “40-Plus Club.” Whether automatic or manual, it achieves a highway average of 40 mpg — a phenomenal 18 percent increase over last year’s manual transmission model that achieved 34 mpg and 11 percent over its automatic-transmission predecessor. City numbers are equally impressive at 30 mpg.
The new engine performs extremely well on high-speed highways and local roads. This isn’t surprising considering the curb weight of the Accent is less than 2,700 pounds maximum. It comes in two body styles — a four-door sedan and a more functional five-door that offers segment-leading cargo volume (21.2 cubic feet).
The only annoying thing I found was the active head restraints. Sure they’re adjustable, but until they are adjusted it’s like having a baseball bat pushed against the nape of your neck. I’m sure they prevent head injuries during a rear-end collision, as designed, but they can’t cure the pain in your butt until they’re raised.
Both 2012 Accent models come in three trim levels: GLS, GS and SE. Pricing for the 2012 Hyundai Accent is a competitive vehicle’s nightmare. They start at $12,445 for an Accent GLS four-door with a manual transmission and run up to $16,795 for an Accent SE five-door when equipped with an automatic (freight charge is an additional $760).
The 2012 Accent is not just a great budget vehicle, it’s practical as well. Look at the base price and the mileage from a gallon of gas and the value seems to crawl right out of the cabin and hug you.
Test drive your new 2012 Hyundai Accent at Gartner Hyundai in Aurora, IL today. Gartner carries all models of the Accent including the Accent GS Hatcback, the Accent GLS Sedan, and the Accent SE Hatchback.
2012 Hyundai Azera - Available Soon At Gartner Hyundai
The All New 2012 Hyundai Azera
The 2012 Hyundai Azera, available soon at Gartner Hyundai in Aurora, IL is the 5th vehicle in Hyundai's line-up to feature the Fluidic Sculpture design, first seen in the 2010 Hyundai Tucson.
The Azera was once Hyundai's top of the line sedan. In recent years though, its role has been the "stepping stone" or "bridge" from the Sonata Limited to the Genesis Sedan. The Sonata Limited offers most of the ammenities available on the Azera, just in a smaller package. While the Genesis offers more "bells and whistles", a smoother ride and quieter cabin, in a much larger package.
However, with the new fluidic sclupture design, the Azera should be a sedan that sells not because it is a stepping stone, but rather, because it will be a car that people truly want to drive and be seen driving. The new Sonata design has already proved that fact over and over again.
Gartner Hyundai expects this newest arrival from Hyundai in either January or February of 2012. The 2012 Azera will make its debut in November at the Los Angeles Auto Show. Initial price points have been rumored to start off around $32,000, which is comparable to the current 2011 Azera Limited (the current GLS model starts just over $26,000 including destination).
Hyundai is currently offering a site that allows you to build your own 2012 Azera, and is also asking for your feedback via a survey at the end. I built my dream Azera, and I must say, it looks stunning in Venetian Red Pearl with the Camel Interior. Of course, I added the Premium Package which includes the Panoramic Sunroof, Xenon Headlights, Ventilated Seats, and the Infinity Sound System. All together, Hyundai is guestimating my new car at $36,500.
2012 Hyundai Elantra Receives Autopacific's Ideal Vehicle Award - Available Now At Gartner Hyundai
An ideal is defined as an excellent or perfect example.
In the past couple of years, Hyundai have made the effort to become much more than just the car company that is known for their great warranty. The emphasis has been put on providing quality vehicles with excellent fuel efficiency and an even better price.
Those efforts have paid off in spades, with critics and customers alike espousing the virtues of the Korean automakers. Hyundai is setting sales records each and every month, and their trophy cabinet is full to the brim.
This week, that cabinet got a little fuller when AutoPacific, an automotive research and consulting firm, presented Hyundai with two Ideal Vehicle Awards (IVA) in the Compact car and Large Car segments. It was the Elantra 2012 which beat out rivals such as the Ford Focus, Mazda 3 and Volkswagon Jetta in the compact contest, and the Azera beat out Toyota Avalon, Dodge Charger and Ford Taurus in the large segment.
Hyundai also had three of their vehicles (Sonata, Genesis Coupe, Accent) perform well in their respective categories, and finished second overall in the Popular Brand rankings, coming in behind Chrysler. There was also good news in AutoPacific’s Vehicle Satisfaction Awards with Hyundai with 3 winners (Genesis, Elantra, Sonata) in different categories, plus a win in the first ever President’s Award for All-Time Highest Satisfaction.
AutoPacific go through a painstaking process of going through 72,000 surveys from owners of new cars and trucks purchased in the US in the first part of 2011. That is then measures against owner expectation and the reality that the car provides across 15 different categories.
“Having our Elantra 2012 and Azera sedan recognized for AutoPacific’s 2011 Ideal Vehicle Awards is a testament to the hard work and dedication that goes into all the vehicles in the Hyundai lineup. At Hyundai, we strive to exceed customer expectations in safety, quality, value and performance, and look forward to continuing to develop more award winning vehicles as we bring the 2012 Accent and Veloster to market this year,” told to the press Scott Margason, director of Product Planning at Hyundai Motor America.
